Xcelience is in an extremely unique/niche market (pharmaceutical manufacturing) and thus developing content for the site that is functional, search engine friendly AND scientific in nature was a challenge.

As the idea for a new website developed, the client had very specific goals in terms of rankings for priority keywords and user engagement metrics that they wanted to see: 1) Earn top 3 rankings against competitors in their industry, 2) Protect and maintain this ranking, and 3) Increase natural search traffic.

Our Solution

  • The Leverage Marketing SEO team made several rounds of content recommendations on the site for targeted keywords. Although Xcelience exists in a niche market, its key terms are quite competitive so improving their rankings proved to be our first challenge.
  • Deployed Crazy Egg which provides heat mapping and click distribution data to help us analyze what content users were finding most relevant
  • After analysis, we provided recommendations on developing a new site layout and navigation strategy, providing feedback on stylistic as well as functional elements that extended beyond the reach of SEO

Metrics and Results

Before Xcelience employed Leverage Marketing's SEO services, the top three keywords they had been using were unranked. After we began managing their online marketing account, their top three priority keywords ranked first on both Bing and Google organic search results.
